  First Saurday of every month, the Santa Monica pug meetup group meets at the Westminster Dog Park in Venice at 11 a.m. There are usually about 20 pugs.

    we have stopped by on two different Sundays (once in the winter, once in the summer)when we've been in NYC and have not been able to find the pugs. When do they meet? We tried going in the afternoon, which is when they meet up in San Francisco.

      We used to set out pretty early (for NYC) to get there around 11ish. It is north of the sailboat ponds and just past the alice in wonderland statues. People meet on saturdays and sundays, but sundays is the big draw. If you pick up a touristy map, pug hill is often on it.
      
      Apparantly the guy who "started" pug hill has some anger towards the book publicizing the spot. It really is a rather strange secret society.
